Fallon and Sean E session

I'm still here... life with 3 children can get crazy at times, and the past couple of months have been busy with travel, softball, soccer and lots of children activites!  I've got lots of great images to post to show you what I've been doing, and I have to start with a fun engagement sitting  I did a few weeks ago.
Beautiful Fallon was my first client I photographed after relocating to Mobile a year and a half ago.  She was instrumental at getting my name around town, and I am so grateful to her for that! I was ecstatic when she called to tell me she was engaged, and that they want me to photograph their wedding.   I took Sean and Fallon  out to do some engagement photos on a VERY windy day and  they took me exploring to parts of town I had never been.  It was so much fun!   I literally had goosebumps when I "saw the light"  bouncing off walls and reflecting  into their faces.  Then there was the coral wall that we stumbled upon that matched their clothing.   It couldn't have been more perfect.   They were both good sports about all the crazy ideas flowing through my mind.   I can't wait for the wedding!

Happy New Year!

So I'm a half a month behind on my resolution to blog once a week in 2008! I have a few other resolutions that I also need to get working on..Like remembering to send birthday cards to close friends and family...Organizing my office, finish decorating my new ( old ) house, and more date nights with my husband! I'm sure I could come up with a HUGE list of things I would like to do better this year, but I'll have to start small!
Thanks to all my clients who trusted me with their holiday portraits and Christmas cards this year ...it was such a fun ( and crazy) season! I photographed so many wonderful families...with absolutely adorable children...I wanted to share some of the images of my session with these 4 energetic little boys. They were so cute...and funny! I was in love with the face of the littlest one...he should be on greeting cards!

This  little guy had me cracking up..He was making ME laugh instead of the other way around!

Beautiful baby Drew

I am sooo far behind on my blogging...l need to try to make a New Years resolution to make a post at least once a week! Just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to get done all the things I would like to!
I wanted to share the photos I took at the hospital the day after baby Drew was born into Ashley and Joe's beautiful family. I don't know why, but I want to cry every time I photograph one of these newborns. They are so beautiful, and every one is such a miracle.
My Mom was in town visiting that day, and came with me to help on the shoot. It was fun to take her along and show her how cool my job is! She was more impressed with Ashley's doctor who came in and chatted a while. She said she wished she had doctors like that when she was having babies! Congratualtions Ashley and Joe...I can't wait to photograph your family again!

Veteran's Day

It was a warm sunny day here on the Gulf Coast, and a perfect day for a parade. We drove downtown Mobile to watch my nephew Mike march in the annual Veterans day parade. Being the wife of a military man for a little over 20 years now, I had great admiration and pride watching all the young men and women who proudly serve our country march past us. I read a bumper sticker on the way to the parade that said... If you can't stand behind our troops, then stand in front of them...It brought to mind 2 young men I know on their way to Iraq. I pray that they will return safely, and thank them and all the soldiers of the armed forces (My husband and nephews included) for risking their lives for the benefit of the people of our country.
And thanks Mike for letting me have a blast playing "paparazzi" today and letting Austin and I "stalk" you on the parade route! You were a good sport and only cracked a smile once!

My son Austin took this shot... he just might make a great assistant!

The Azalea Trail Maids of Mobile...Can't imagine how they walk miles in those dresses!
My son Austin and nephew Mike strikin' a pose for me!

Hannah is one!

I photographed this sweet little girl in the hospital when she was only one day old. Now here it is a year later...and she is having her first birthday! I'm not sure if the time went by as quickly for her parents as it did for me, but I feel priviledged to document this special milestone. I LOVED watching Hannah run around in the adorable tutu that her Mom made for her. She wanted to explore everything, and I tried my best to keep up! She wasn't too crazy about the birthday hat we tried to place on her head, but the birthday cake...that was a different story! She had cake smashed in her fingers, toes and hair...it was a crack-up! Happy First Birthday Hannah!

Ashley and Joe

I absolutely love pregnancy....Not that I want to go there again. I pretty much knew after my third baby was born that I was done, but I love documenting this wonderful miracle in OTHER women. :)

I had the pleasure of photographing Ashley, Joe and their almost 2 year old son to record this very special time.....the anticipation of bringing a new life into the world and adding a new member to their family. Ashley is such a beautiful girl ...I knew when I first saw her that I was going to get great images. Don't you LOVE her in that black dress???? She was relaxed and excited for any ideas that I had. Below are just a few from our session. I had a hard time choosing which ones to share on this blog. I can't wait for that baby to arrive so I can photograph him/her!

Annie

I had such a great time photographing little Annie and her parents while I was in Seaside Oregon this summer. I had never met them before the sitting, but by the time I was through, I was wishing they lived closer, and I could have Annie in my baby plan! If every every toddler I photographed was as cooperative and happy as Annie! She was blowing kisses, playing peek-a-boo, and exploring every detail of the beach. What a sweet baby girl!
